Yuvraj Singh perished to a Ryder delivery in an attempt to up the ante after a long period of lull in the middle.
Oram picked up his second wicket when Virender Sehwag miscued one and was held comfortably by Brendon McCullum.
An outstanding catch by Scott Styris ended Suresh Raina's stay at the crease when he tried to blast Oram out of the park.
However, New Zealand's bowlers are once again running for cover as Virender Sehwag take them on a trip around Eden Park in Auckland.

While Irfan played in the Twenty20 series, which India lost 0-2, Ojha so far has had little to do on this tour, other than roll his arm over at the nets.
And this will come as an ideal opportunity for Ojha to win the selectors' confidence. A poor show in the match would provide the leeway for Ravindra Jadeja, who has the making of a competitive all-rounder, to stake a claim for the second spinner's slot in India's ODI scheme of things.

McGlashan became the first wicketkeeper to register a fifty against India in New Zealand.
